Check this out, I am so speechless, this is a an easy, simple and lovely pattern, most importantly I love my fabric color……………………
Fabric: Matte Jersey from fabricland
Pattern Description: Very loose-fitting, pullover dress, above mid-knee length, has pleated front, cowl collar and wide stitched hem.
Pattern Sizing: E5(14-16-18-20-22); I cut size 14 and graded to 16 from waist down.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing
with it?: Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow: Very easy, the pattern called for clear elastic on the sleeve and the arm -hole , but I interfaced instead and really like the look .
Pattern Alterations or any design changes you made: Made few, they are:
Lowered the armhole by 0.5″ because I read on PR that the AH is a bit tight
I lengthened the hem by 1″
Reduced the hem width to 3″ instead of 41/4 the pattern says
I interfaced the hem line and
Used 1/4″ steam-a-seam to finish the neckline and the hem for a neat finish .
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? Very easy and flattering design, nothing to dislike.
Would you recommend it to others?Yes great for beginners and flatters every shape, it’s a definitely keeper……
What a beautiful colour on you . I love the style and so nice for Spring/ Summer . Did you use stretch interfacing ? or just the regular stuff? I've never interfaced a knit hem line yet .
You look soooo good aunty!!! I wantttttttttttt :D
You're right…it's a superb colour on you, and the dress just looks gorgeous on you.
@9jaFOODIE…Don't worry I can make you one when you come down to the base..Just got a call from greyhound now….Thanks sis
@Lisa, I usually use a one-way stretch interface for my knit hemming and they stay nicely and make the hem a bit sturdy

I ran across your blog when doing a search for interfacing a hem. I love the hot yellow colour. Then I looked in the background to see SNOW!!! Lovely, lovely snow! It was so refreshing to see, especially since we are experiencing 8+ days of a horrible heat wave. I will keep this dress in mind for my daughter.
