Ahhahah… I love this top, I love the pattern, I love the fabric ….I love everyhing…. How many L.O.V.E can you see…..lol….Does this fabric look familiar? I guess so, check this post……I had just enough fabric left to make the top, the first top I made from this fabric was stolen by my sister….lol.. Yes she told me the first time she saw it on me that I might not see the top again… and that was the end of it……..but no matter what she’s still the best sister ever….. So here is a review of this lovely pattern Newlook 6892
Fabric: Some sheer fabric from Walmart , I got last year
Pattern Description: Misses Easy Tops….Six sizes in one
Pattern Sizing: 6-16… I cut size 14 and grade up to 16 from waist down
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?: Almost, except I didn’t put the front ribbon
Were the instructions easy to follow: Super duper easy…..lol
Pattern Alterations or any design changes you made:This tunic runs a bit short for me, so
(1) I added 4″ to the bodice
(2)I added 2″ to the sleeve
(3)I sewed in french seam
(4)I narrow hemmed the sleeve and the bodice
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like everything, nothing to dislike, simple, easy, and very fast, I made this in less than 4 hours , and it took this long because I was doing other things and with french seam I used
Would you recommend it to others? Yes, yes and yes…….You won’t be disappointed
Conclusion :Great pattern, good for begineers, and very trendy as well
What a great project to start the week with………..enh
Have a lovely week everyone
Love the fabric…. very pretty top I'm sure you will get lots of wear out of it this summer.
That's a cute top. Love the fabric!
That will look awesome on you!!!
That fabric is GORGEOUS!!!!! I love the color.
Love this top! It's very spring!!
Cute top and I do love your fabric.
Luscious and lovely! It's hard to believe that you are a beginner!
Very nice!
I also love this patten, the neck is low and wide enough to look so pretty.
It is just gorgeous. I love the orange and white one pictured above, now I will have to make something similar. One thing that I don't like as much is that it uses bias tape to face the neckline and it is not as smooth looking as when you just turn the fabric under, so I am going to adjust the pattern a bit at the neck and add 3/8 inch so that I can just turn it under.
